Capabilities

Trillium International has extensive capabilities relevant to the manufacture and assembly of automotive, lawn & garden and tube & flange OEM and aftermarket products. 

These capabilities include, but are not limited to: 

Molding 

Trillium has expertise in both insert and injection molding using state-of-the-art materials ranging from liquid crystal polymers with custom fillers to thermo setting silicon. Our overmolding equipment spans 20 to 250 tons.

Modular System Assemblies 

Trillium manages complete modular system assembly production under the direction of Delphi Automotive. Trillium Tuscaloosa’s modular cockpit assembly operation combines just in time delivery and flexible manufacturing systems. Completed assemblies are delivered minutes after custom orders are received, utilizing a unique state-of-the-art system. 

Conveyor System Production

We have experience with conveyor systems ranging from 20 feet to 290 feet long utilizing up to 30 build boards which are used in the production of harnesses of up to 13-feet in length. Our custom build board designs have the capability of assembling harnesses requiring over 32 connectors and 184 wire leads and performing a 100% diagnostic electrical check. 

Electrical System Design 

Trillium is capable of complete electrical system design, support and prototyping. Our current expertise is in automotive system designs and lawn and garden applications. 

Design and Testing 

Trillium’s ability to design, prototype and test a new product, taking it from initial concept to final customer requirements, is supported by our comprehensive and extensive Technical Center, which incorporates a Research and Development department and is equipped with the latest technologically advanced design and testing equipment. 

Semi-Automated Assembly 

Trillium has the expertise to design and build high tech semi-automated assembly systems for the production of high quality, cost-effective assembled products. 

Soldering and Flame Brazing 

Including fully automatic soldering and flame brazing assembly lines, our soldering capabilities are typically used in conjunction with tube bending and overmolding to produce high value, low cost modules. 

Tube Bending and Endforming

Manual and fully automatic 3-axis CNC tube bending for a variety of tube materials, bend radii, and diameters. Manual and semi-automatic endforming process compliant to SAE and NHTSB standards for a variety of tube materials diameters. Prototype and development services are also available.

Welding 

In conjunction with our stamping, wire-cutting and terminating capabilities, our welding processes, which range from spot to high-frequency resistance, are utilized to provide mechanical strength and electrical conductivity in a large portion of our products.
